Our Parish social concern
ministry is the empowerment of the parish as the
people of God to fulfill the church’s mission of
love, justice, freedom and peace by communally
responding in an organized way to social and
individual needs. Meeting times are announced in
the Parish Bulletin.
Activities for our ministry
include Thanksgiving food baskets, Christmas Giving
Tree, baby shower to benefit the Pregnancy Center,
Christmas in July for Sister Visitors Center,
winterizing homes, parish food pantry, free blood
pressure checks on announced Sunday's, Right To Life
Mother’s Day Rose Sale, contributing to cost of
Right To Life billboards, petitions for social justice
issues and supporting SEAM in their efforts to provide
clothing, utilities, food and housing for the needy in
our area. |
