St. Bartholomew is a Roman Catholic parish located on the
southeast side of Louisville near General Electric's
Appliance Park. The first mass was held on October 11, 1942
in the basement of the old rectory. In this simple, quiet
way the story of our parish began. During the 66 years that
have passed since that first Liturgy, our parish has grown
in many ways and our history is a rich one.
Today, under the pastorate of The Reverend Peter Quan Do,
the parish serves a faith community of more than 600
families. Our dedication to the importance of Catholic
education is embodied by our fine regional elementary school,
John Paul II Academy, with an
enrollment in excess of 500 students. Our School provides a quality Catholic Education for Pre-K thru Grade
8, and offers an After School Care Program. Please
